Professional Teeth Whitening

If you’ve noticed your teeth losing their luster due to coffee, tea, aging, or tobacco, you are not alone.

Teeth whitening is a safe, non-invasive cosmetic treatment designed to lift deep stains and restore the natural brilliance of your enamel.

As part of our commitment to Cosmetic & Specialty Dentistry, we provide whitening solutions that offer a more uniform and dramatic result than anything you can find at a drugstore.

Why Choose Professional Whitening?

While it may be tempting to grab a DIY kit, there are several reasons why our patients prefer professional care:

  • Customized Treatment: We ensure the whitening agent is applied evenly, avoiding the "splotchy" results often seen with generic strips.

  • Sensitivity Management: Dr. Hojnowski uses professional-grade formulas designed to minimize tooth sensitivity, a common side effect of lower-quality products.

  • Expert Supervision: Before whitening, we perform a thorough exam to ensure your teeth and gums are healthy enough for the procedure.

  • Faster Results: Achieve a noticeably whiter smile in a fraction of the time it takes for at-home kits to show progress.

Teeth whitening is an excellent option for most patients, but it is important to note:

  • Natural Teeth Only: Whitening treatments do not change the color of Porcelain Veneers, Crowns, or Fillings.

  • Comprehensive Care: For the best results, we often recommend a professional Preventative Cleaning before your whitening session to remove surface plaque and tartar.

  • Long-Term Beauty: To keep your smile bright, we provide guidance on Aftercare and Maintenance to help you avoid new stains.

Is Teeth Whitening Right for You?

The "Gentle Dental" Experience

Dr. Hojnowski’s goal is to provide every patient with "the highest level of gentle dental care".

Whether you are preparing for a wedding, a job interview, or just want to feel better in your daily life, he treats every aesthetic goal with the same respect, compassion, and honesty as a complex surgical procedure.

  1. We recommend daily and regular use of Sensodyne prior to any teeth whitening procedures, as this can reduce the chance of sensitivity before, during, and after whitening treatments.

  2. We also recommend the use of whitening gel in custom trays that will aid in proper contact between the whitening gel and the enamel of the teeth only. Avoiding the gum and root surface reduces the chances of sensitivity as well.

  3. We use a whitening gel that has anti-sensitivity ingredients included.
